Analgesics

Patients with CKD often suffer from painful conditions such as gout or other forms of arthritis. In patients with impaired renal function, it is important to avoid all pain medications that have the potential to worsen renal function such as NSAIDs and coxibs. Other analgesics options should be explored in this high risk population.
